WIRELESS COMMUNICATION IN AGRICULTURAL INSTALLATIONS
For a more complete control of irrigation and fertigation, it is important to automate and monitor the crop and to use probes that measure the parameters of humidity, temperature, electrical conductivity (EC) in soils and substrates, climatic parameters and agronomic variables.
In order to increase the profitability of the farm, in addition to choosing the equipment that best suits the needs of the crop, it is equally important to determine the ideal communication path between the different actuators and probes to the controller.
In the world of agriculture, the use of wireless technology via radio to communicate the various actuators in the field and to read out probes in becoming increasingly important.
REDIN is a wireless communication system via radio, which allows the control equipment to be connected to remote input and output modules (routers), creating a network or mesh of low-power nodes. Any of them can act as a receiver, repeater and transmitter.
REDIN is the ideal communication system for lange farms where it is difficult to install a cable installation.
Advantages of incorporating REDIN:
- It links the control equipment with the field units (irrigation valves, sensors, motors, etc.) allowing the integration of both climate control and fertigation control in the same network.
- It allows the creation of a network or mesh of wireless nodes, with very low consumption, and any of them can be configured as a receiver and/or emitter.
- The system can be axpanded at any time thanks to the flexibility os this technology.
Nutricontrol recommends the use of this wireless communication system in those installations whose large extensión or numerous geographical difficulties make the traditional installation (by cable) a stumbling block that is difficult to solve or costly.
